Chicken Tikka Masala

  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dehydrated minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1" cubes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 can (540 ml) diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cooking time 25mins


Step 1

In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken, onion and lemon juice. Saute 10 mins. Stir in all spices, except red pepper. Simmer 1 min, stirring constantly.

Stir in tomatoes until well mixed. Combine cream, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir into tomato mixture. Stir in red pepper to taste. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, simmer 5 mins or until thickened, stirring frequently.

Serve with cooked basmati rice or naan bread.
