Soy Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup cooked soy pulp or coarsely chopped soybeans
  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 cup ground sesame and/or sunflower seeds, toasted
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp basil

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in oil. Mix in remaining ingredients. Shape into patties and cook on a griddle or in a skillet or bake in 350 F oven for 20 minutes. To keep them from sticking, sprinkle griddle or baking dish with sesame seeds.
