Ingredients
- 4 C Chicken Broth
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 4 C cooked (or rinsed canned) cannellini beans (white beans)
- 2 C coarsely chopped tomatoes (and juice)
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 large clove Garlic
- 1/2 C basil
- 2 Tbs Extra virgin Olive Oil
- 1 C Ditalini Pasta (cooked, drained reserve 1c water)

Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan bring broth to a boil on medium high heat.
Add tomatoes and juice, onion, and oregano.
Lower heat, simmer 10 minutes
Add beans, cook until onions are tender (10-15 mins)
In blender, finely chop garlic and basil
add olive oil, blend until combined
Add half of the bean tomato mixture and puree
Stir puree back into the pan
Add cooked pasta
If soup is to thick add reserved pasta water
