  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract



Step 1

Cream together sugar and margarine. Add beaten eggs. Add flour, baking powder and extract. Pour into a greased jellyroll pan, reserving 2 cups batter. Spoon cherries over batter and top with reserved batter. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Top with 1 tablespoon butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla and enough milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over bars.
