Ingredients

  • 1

    loaf dark rye bread or 1-2 loaves party rye bread

  • 1

    lb. hot or milk pork or deer sausage

  • 1

    lb. lean ground beef or deer

  • 1

    small can chopped green chilies

  • 1

    lb. regular or light Velveeta cheese, cubed

  • ½ to 1

    tsp. oregano

  • ½

    tsp. garlic powder

  • 1

    tsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • Dash of salt & pepper

Directions

Brown sausage & beef/deer. Drain well. Add green chilies, cheese, & seasonings. Stir until cheese is melted. Place bread slices on a large cookie sheet. For loaf bread, cut in half for appetizers or leave whole if part of a meal. Spread meat mixture on bread. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
