Kohlrabi and Beef Curry

Ingredients

  • 3 parsnips, in small cubes
  • 1 large kohlrabi, in small cubes
  • 2 small red onions, chopped
  • 200 g minced steak
  • 1 can (400ml) coconut milk
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil, for frying

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the meat until browned.
2. Add the onion, garlic, ginger and fenugreek seeds, stir-fry until the onion starts getting soft. Then add the parsnip and kohlrabi.
3. Stir-fry a few minutes, then add the cardamom, cinnamon and pepper and the coconut milk. Stir well, reduce heat to low, cover and leave for approx. 10 minutes.
4. Sprinkle coriander on top and serve
