Ingredients
- 2 large European-style cucumbers
- 1/2 cup lemon juice or white wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- dash white pepper
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh new dill or 4 teaspoons dried dill weed
- fresh dill sprigs, for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Scrub the cucumbers and slice paper-thin. Place the slices in a medium-sized bowl. Mix the lemon juice (or vinegar), sugar, salt and pepper and pour over the cucumbers. Sprinkle with the chopped dill. Refrigerate for 3 hours to allow the flavors to blend. Drain. Garnish with dill sprigs and serve.
