Nestle's Original Toll House Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 1 package (12 ounces) Nestle semi-sweet real chocolate morsels (2 cups)
• 1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 F. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 F for 8 to 10 minutes.
