Ingredients
- 1 ham bone
- Carrots, cut in chunks
- Rutabagas, cut in chunks
- Potatoes, cut in chunks
- Light smoked sausage, cut in chunks
- 1-2 large cans sauerkraut
- 1 small cabbage, cut up
- Garlic
- Bay leaf
- Water
Preparation
Step 1
Add enough water to cover ham bone, add seasonings & simmer 2-3 hours. Add more water if needed. About 45 minutes before done, add vegetable chunks & sauerkraut. Quarter cabbage & lay on top. Simmer until done.
