Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge

By

found in Mom's recipe collection--makes about 2 pounds. Tried this one in November 2011 and it worked! I will probably save more of the Eagle Brand milk for the chocolate portion, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces peanut butter flavored chips
  • 14 ounces Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, melt peanut butter chips, 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter; stir occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in peanuts. Spread mixture into wax paper-lined 8" square pan.

In small saucepan, melt chocolate morsels, remaining sweetened condensed milk and butter. Spread chocolate mixture on top of peanut butter mixture. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Tightly cover any leftovers.
