Navajo Fry Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in water. Knead with slightly oiled hands. Rub with 1 Tbsp oil. Let sit 30 minutes. Form into 4" x 1/8" disks. Fry. Drain on paper towels.
