Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 2/3 C (5 oz can) Carnation evaporated milk
  • 2 T butter
  • 14 t salt
  • 2 C miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 C (9 oz)tollhouse semi sweet choc chips
  • 1/2 C chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Line 8 in square baking pan with foi.

Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium heavy duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring for 4 or 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in marshmallows, choc chips, nuts and vanilla.
Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
Pour into prepared baking pan; refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
Lift from pan, remove foil. Cut into pieces. Makes 49 pieces.
