Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 whole wheat pizza crust balls
- 1 1/2 cup part skim mozarella
- 1 lb tomatoes
- 1/2 c fresh basil leaves
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Mix olive oil and minced garlic. Brush pizza crust with garlic oil. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over crust. Scatter sliced tomatoes and basil leaves on pizzas and sprinkle with salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar.
Pizza dough:
Stir together water and active dry yeast and sugar. Let stand until foamy about 10 minutes. Stir in whole wheat flour, flour, olive oil and kosher salt. Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth, about 2 minutes. Put in lightly oiled bowl. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size about 1 hour. Form into 4 balls and roll out to 1/8 inch thickness. Transfer to baking sheet lined with plastic wrap and cover tightly with another sheet of plastic. Repeat with remaining dough and greeze until firm (about 10 minutes) or ready to use.
