Holiday Sugar Cookies (J.R. Watkins Company)

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 tablespoon cream or whole milk
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon Watkins Cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon Watkins Pure Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add lightly beaten eggs, cream, and vanilla. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use a little flour and roll the dough thin. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in 375 F oven for 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool cookies on rack.

After cookies have cooled, frost with your favorite icing.
