Ingredients
- 7 cups water
- 1 medium onion
- 3 carrot cut into slices
- 2 medium stalks celery chopped
- 2 ham hock
- 1 16 oz bag split peas
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
mix all ingredients except ham in slow cooker 4 to 5 quart size
add ham
cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 minutes or until peas are tender
remove ham from cooker, place on utting board
pull meat from bone
discard bone and skin
stir ham in soup
stir well before serving
