French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1 loaf French Bread
  • 10 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup soft butter
  • 1 1/3 cups chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 1/3 cups brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Slice bread into 3/4 to 1 inch thick slices. Place bread in a buttered 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Mix all the other section one ingredients in a blender(or use mixer); pour over bread. Combine topping ingredients and crumble over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.
