Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 3/4 cup buttermilk

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450. Spray 8" square pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Melt butter and pour into pan. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in buttermilk. Stir until loose dough forms. (Dough will be sticky.)
Press dough into baking dish on top of melted butter. (Spread out with hands.) With a sharp knife, cut the dough into 9 squares.
Bake 20-25 minutes, rotating once during baking. If you notice some of the butter coming to the top and turning brown, dab around the edges with a paper towel.
