Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoon grated onion
- 1 egg,slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1 medium green pepper,cut in strips
- 1 medium red pepper,cut in strips 1 small onion,sliced
- 2 cups Prego spaghetti sauce
- 4 long hard rolls,slit
Preparation
Step 1
1.In medium bowl,combine beef,bread crumbs,onion,egg,and pepper.Shape into 1 1/2-inch meatballs (16 meatballs).
2.In 10-inch skillet over medium heat in hot oil.
brown meatballs,a few at a time.
3.Add pepper strips and onion;cook until vegetables are tender crisp.Stir in Prego sauce.Return in meatballs to skillet.
4.Reduce heat to low;cover.Simmer 10 minutes or until meatballs are done,stirring occasiuonally.
5.Serve on rolls.
