Ingredients
- 2 (8 oz) NY Strip steaks
- 3/4 tsp each salt and pepper
- 4 tsp canola oil, divided
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp fresh rosemary
- 1 (8 oz) pack of sliced Cremini mushrooms
- 2 tsp flour
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 1 TBSP butter
Preparation
Step 1
Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Heat in large skillet over med-high heat. Add 1 tsp of oil to pan, swirl to coat. Add steaks to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
Remove steaks from pan. Add remaining oil to pan and add onion, rosemary and mushrooms cook for 5 minutes or until mushrooms begin to brown.
Sprinkle mushroom with flour and cook for 30 seconds. Add wine and bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Add remaining salt, pepper, and pepper. Stir until melted.
Cut steaks across the grain into thin slices. Serve with sauce.
