Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c warm water (110 deg F)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 1/3 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

dissolve yeast and sugar in water and let sit for 10 min
stir salt and oil onto yeast mixture
mix in 2 ½ c flour, then knead in more until dough is no longer sticky
place in oiled bowl to rise for 1 hr
turn out onto floured board,knead out bubbles, divide into 2, roll out – let the dough rest between rollings – it will stay rolled out better and be softer.
