Ingredients

  • 3 cups all bran cereal
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 3 cups bran flakes
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 5 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Pour boiling water over the all bran cereal and bran flakes. Let soak.

Cream the following:

3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter
4 tsp. soda
5 cups flour

Mix with bran mixture. Store in container with tight cover in refrigerator. Use as need. Keeps 6 weeks. Bake @ 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes in greased muffin tins.
