Broccoli Salad

Delicious broccoli salad. Great to take to a summer barbecue!

Ingredients

  • Broccoli florets, cut into bite sized pieces
  • Bacon cooked , drained on paper towels, and
  • crumbled
  • Red onion, chopped fine
  • Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • Grape tomaotes, cut into halves or fourths
  • Dressing.
  • A TASTE AS YOU GO DRESSING
  • These are just general guidelines**
  • DO NOT ADD all dressing to broccoli salad at once. Just to taste.
  • 3/4 cup mayonaisse
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2-3 tablespoons red wine vinegar, more or less
  • TASTE!!!
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Granulated sugar to taste
  • Sometimes I add a clove or two of finely minced garlic.
  • Amounts vary on how much you need. No specifics here. It's what you like.

Preparation

Step 1

Toss all salad ingredients in large bowl or tray, EXCEPT the grape tomatoes.

Prepare your dressing by combining all ingredients, tasting as you go. SOOO important to taste this dressing to get it just right!!

Toss with the broccoli mixture.

Top with the grape tomatoes, it adds such pretty color.

Refrigerate, covered, till serving.
