Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Grating of nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
1. Line pie pan with pastry 1/8 inch thick, brush with small amount of egg white from 1 egg.
2. Add white to remaining eggs; beat slightly.
3. Scald milk, pour over combined eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.
4. Mix well and pour into pastry.
5. Bake in a preheated oven (425 degrees) for 25 to 30 minutes.
6. Cool.
