Mushroom Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • mashed potatoes with some gruyere cheese
  • oyster & shitake mushrooms
  • onion
  • equal parts olive oil & butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup stock
  • butter
  • flour
  • parsley

Preparation

Step 1

mash potatoes and add cheese
Saute onion in oil & butter. Add garlic, mushrooms, salt & pepper. Saute a few minutes. Add wine & stock.
Mix melted butter and flour together, mix in mushroom mixture and cook till thickened. Add chopped parsley. Place in casserole dish, top with potatoes and bake.
