Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup orzo
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1 (10 ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 3/4 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
In medium saucepan, melt butter to sizzling point. Add orzo and rice; saute in the butter until golden, stirring constantly, being careful not to scorch. Add the broth, hot water and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; leave covered to stand for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve hot.
