Olive Garden Salad (Copycat)

Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • 1 bag Romaine hearts
  • 1 cup black olives
  • 1-2 tomatoes quartered
  • 4-5 slices red onion
  • 2-4 Pepperoncinis
  • 1/2-1 cup croutons
  • Freshly grated Romano cheese ( I will use Parmesan b/c I have it on hand)
  • 1 8 oz bottle Paul Newman's Olive Oil/Vinegar Dressing
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled & halved
  • 1/2 TBS dried oregano
  • 1/2 TBS dried basil
  • 1 TBS sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Salad:
Mix all together, chill and serve w/dressing.

Dressing:
Put ingredients in bottle and shake well. Refrigerate 24 hours before serving.

*NOTE* I've used the Kroger brand dressing and it works great too. Also, most bottles I find are 16 oz, so I pour half out into a jar and follow steps above.
