Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1/2 cup butter
- Salt and pepper
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
Preparation
Step 1
In medium saucepan, saute rice in hot butter for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add salt, pepper and broth; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; leave covered rice to stand 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve hot.
Variations:
Chopped onion may be added to rice. For a tomato flavor, add 2 tablespoons tomato paste when sauteing.
