Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1-1/2 cup raisins
- 1 cup nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour and dry.
Beat shortening with sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs. Beat until light.
Add molasses and buttermilk at low speed.
Add flour mixture just until smooth.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Chill 1 hour.
375 for 12 min.
