Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 French bread loaf
- 2 to 3 Granny Smith Apples
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. white/light corn syrup
- Egg Mixture:
- 5 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk or half & half cream
- vanilla and cinnamon to taste

Step 1
Lightly grease the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13" pan with butter or margarine.
In a saucepan melt butter; add brown sugar and corn syrup on medium heat. Pour into the baking pan. Slice apples and arrange in a single layer over the sauce. Cut the French bread loaf into 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" thick pieces and arrange over apple pieces.
Beat the egg mixture and pour over the bread/apples. Cover and refrigerate overnight (8 to 10 hours).
In the morning preheat over to 350F Bake for 45 to 60 minutes. If the top is a little soft, turn on the broiler for a few minutes.
Flip over onto a serving platter to serve.
