Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg
- Streusel:
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp. firm margarine or butter
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare streusel by mixing all ingredients until crumbly. Beat remaining ingredients in large mixer bowl on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2 minutes. Spread half of the batter in greased oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches, or square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches; sprinkle with half of the streusel. Top with remaining batter; sprinkle with remaining streusel. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.
