Applesauce Raisin Bread

Ingredients
- 1 c. applesauce
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tap. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional vegetable oil spray

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix the applesauce, oil and sugar. Add the egg. Mix well. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add to the applesauce mixture. Mix well. Fold in the raisins and nuts (optional). Pour into a sprayed 8 inch x 4 inch loaf pan, or into greased or lined muffin tins & bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool on a rack for about 30 minutes.
