Ingredients
- 1/2 c unsalted butter
- 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 c sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c walnuts, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 325 degrees F. Butter and flour an 8" square baking pan.
Melt the butter and chocolate over a double boiler. Remove from the heat and whisk in sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Whisk in flour and salt just until well blended. Stir in walnuts. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
Bake for 40 mins or until a wooden pick comes out clean. Do not overbake.
Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Chill if you have time.
