Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. Bulk pork sausage
  • 2 cans kidney beans, ringed and drained
  • 3 cups chunky salsa
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 lg onion, chopped
  • 1 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1/2 cup each green, red & yellow peppers
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 1/8 tsp marjoram
  • Optional toppings: cheddar cheese, sour cream, thinly sliced green onions

Preparation

Step 1

Cook beef and sausage over med. heat until no longer pink. Transfer to slow cooker
Stir in beans, salsa, tomatoes, onions, tomato sauce,mushrooms, peppers and seasoning. Cook covered on low 8-10 hrs. Add toppings of your choice.
