Ingredients

  • 2 cups of shortening or Lard
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • One stick softened butter
  • Three eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • On tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups flour
  • Sugar and cinnamon mixed together to roll cooking in after they come out of the oven.

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together:
2 cups of shortening, 1 3/4 cup of sugar, one stick butter, three eggs.

Sift together:
1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 6 cups of flour

Add sifted ingredients to the creamed ingredients and roll out on a board and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake 10 minutes. Roll in a mixture of 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
