New England Clam Chowder

Ingredients
- 2 bacon slices, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 c. peeled potatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- dash pepper
- 3 cans (7 1/2 oz) minced clams
- 2 cup milk
- 2 tbs. butter

Preparation
Step 1
In medium kettle, sauté bacon until almost crisp. Add onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Add diced potatoes, salt and pepper and 1 1/2 cups water. Cook 10 minutes. Add clams and liquid, milk and butter. Cook 3 minutes.
