- 6 chicken legs -- skin removed
- 2 teaspoon - ginger
- 1 teaspoon - paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon - ground red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon - allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon - salt
- 1/4 teaspoon - freshly ground pepper
- 2 tablespoon - vegetable oil
- 3 1/2 cup - onion -- chopped
- 1 tablespoon - garlic -- minced
- 3/4 cup - chicken broth
- 1 can - tomato sauce

Directions
1 Remove skin from chicken.
2 Combine spices, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
3 Add chicken and toss to coat.
4 Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
5 Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
6 Add chicken and cook until browned, 4 minutes per side.
7 Transfer to a plate.
8 Discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings from skillet.
9 Add onions and cook covered until translucent, about 4 minutes.
10 Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
11 Add chicken broth and tomato sauce.
12 Return chicken to skillet.
13 Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes.
14 Transfer chicken to a platter.
15 Season sauce to taste and pour over chicken.
