Ingredients
- 2 Tbs butter
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2-3 # ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3-15 oz cans beef broth
- 1-10 oz can diced tomatoes and chili peppers (Rotel)
- 1-15 oz cn tomato sauce
- 1 cup potatoes, diced with skins
- 1 cup carrots, peeled and diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1-15 oz can french-style beans
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 Tbs parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In large pot, saute the onions and garlic in butter. Simultaneously, fry the ground beef in large skillet, drain grease. Add the cooked meat to the onions and garlic and saute for a few minutes. Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer about 30 minutes. Season and serve with warm bread.
