Ingredients
- 3 pounds all-purpose potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
- 4 Tbs margarine or butter (1/2 stick)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup hot milk
Preparation
Step 1
In 3-qt saucepan over high heat, heat potatoes and enough water to cover to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender; drain.
Return potatoes to pan. With potato masher, mash potatoes with margarine and salt. Gradually add milk; mash until mixture is smooth and well blended. Keep warm.
