Blueberry Cinnamon Freezer Jam

Makes 4 half-pints

Ingredients

  • 5 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups crushed blueberries
  • 1 tea. cinnamon
  • 1 1/75 oz. pkg. regular powdered fruit pectin
  • 3/4 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine sugar, blueberries and cinnamon. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a small saucepan, stir pectin into the water. bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add to blueberry mixture; stir for about 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves an mixture is not grainy.

Ladle into half-pint freezer containers. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
