Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup bran cereal flakes
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup nuts (opt)

Preparation
Step 1
Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter, gradually add sugars, until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add flour mixture, coconut, cereal, nuts and vanilla. Shape into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Press down with fork. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes
