Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • Slaw:
  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 green pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Syrup:
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Preparation

Step 1

Add salt to cabbage blend.
Let stand 1 hour, then drain off the juice.

Heat syrup ingredient in a saucepan to dissolve sugar.
When heated, cool syrup and pour over cabbage mixture.
Pack in a container and freeze.
Thaw before serving.
