Beef Burgundy

Ingredients

  • 5 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp bacon drippings
  • 2 lb round steak, cut in strips
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 2 cans mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Fry onions in bacon drippings. Add steak and brown. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and thyme. Add bouillon, wine and mushrooms. Cover, simmer slowly 45 min - 1 hour on stove or in oven (350 degrees F).
