FRENCH COOKIE BARS

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp ground cloves
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup raisins
• 1 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

With mixer add brown sugar, shortening add eggs.
In separate bowl add all other ingredients then add to creamed mixture

Spread into large greased pan.

Bake 350 for 15 min.

Ice with a thin powdered sugar iceing.
