Orange Honey Cake & Orange Icing

Ingredients

  • Sift together:
  • 1 Cup honey (orange blossom if available)
  • 4 Eggs, mix until frothy
  • Add 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 1/2 Cup flour
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon baking soda
  • Add to honey/egg mixture, slowly.
  • Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
  • Icing
  • 3 Tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons orange rind
  • 1 Tablespoon orange juice
  • or enough to gain proper consistency.

Step 1

Ice cooled loaf cake. Cut into 1 inch slices. Serve with Cool Whip or Whipped Cream.
