Oven-barbecued Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325F. Trim excess fat from chops and brown in hot pan. Place chops in ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with onion slice. Combine all other ingredients and blend well. Pour over chops. Cover and bake 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 1/2 hour, basting often.
