Ingredients

  • For Frosting:
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can mandarin oranges
  • 1 jar red maraschino cherries
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 large container whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

Cake: Mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and oranges. Mix well. Bake in 3 layer round pans (greased). Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Frost with the following frosting recipe.

Frosting: Mix pudding, pineapple, and whipped topping in a large bowl. Spread on cake and between layers. Sprinkle coconut on top and decorate with cherries.

This frosting is also good on angel food cake.
