Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups diced potatoes
- 1/4 cup diced carrots
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cubed cooked ham (boneless, precooked)

Preparation
Step 1
Add the first sic ingredients to the boiling water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. In a 2 quart pan prepare a white sauce with the butter, flour, and milk. Gradually add cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in the vegetables, undrained, and ham. Keep hot without boiling.
