Ingredients

  • 1

    Ham Bone or 2 Ham Hocks

  • 1

    16oz Split Peas

  • 2

    Carrots (finely chopped)

  • 1

    Medium Onion - chopped

  • ¼

    tsp Whole Allspice

  • tsp peppercorns

  • 2 or 3

    Bay Leaves

Directions

Heat ham bone, peas, carrots, onions, & 7 cups water to a boil. Add spices. Reduce heat to a simmer & cover for 1 hour. Stir so it doesn't stick.
