Brussels Sprouts with Onions and Bacon

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. lean bacon
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lbs. brussels sprout, trimmed
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 4 tbsp. butter

Step 1
In heavy bottomed pan over medium heat, fry bacon til crisp. Remove bacon, put on paper towels to drain.
Saute onion and garlic in bacon fat over low heat until soft, about 3 minutes. Add brussels sprouts and stir until coated with bacon fat. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the broth and cook, covered, over low heat until brusels sprout are tender, about 12-15 minutes. Stir in the butter and transfer to serving dish Garnish with bacon bits and serve.
