Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
- 6 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, divided
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup skimmed milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups water
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9" square (or round) baking pan with Pam.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 4 tablespoons cocoa, and baking powder. Stir in milk, oil and vanilla until well blended. Spread in prepared pan. Stir together remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa and sprinkle over batter.
Pour water evenly over mixture in pan. Bake 30-35 minutes, until cake pulls away from the side of pan, and top is dry to the touch. Serve cold.
